Challenging times, as we are clearly in all over the world, require us to call out the best in each other, to act with hope, honesty and integrity, and to welcome diversity. 

I see this in the life of Jesus, and reflected in the best traditions of character formation through worship, prayer, service and fellowship in the church. And so as we begin a new year together I will be spending the next few Sunday mornings looking at the idea of Whole Life Worship with some material from the London Institute of Contemporary Christianity. 

I hope we will develop our conviction that our hour or so together on a Sunday is just one aspect of an entire life where we are engaged with God and neighbour. It is not about doing more stuff, it is about consciously allowing God more space in us.
